Taylor Sport x Pink Ribbon Walk - A Day of Unity at Hagley Park

Every year in October, thousands of kiwis come together in cities across the country to walk, share stories, and show support for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. Turning parks and streets into seas of pink, united by one purpose - to help create a future where more women can survive and thrive after breast cancer diagnosis.
On the 20th of October, thousands gathered at Hagley Park in Christchurch for the annual Pink Ribbon Walk, a celebration of strength, hope, and community. Among them was the Taylor Sport team, stepping out in style and purpose to support the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. For the third year in a row, our exclusive brand Taylor Sport stood shoulder to shoulder with the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, continuing the shared mission to raise awareness and support women around Aotearoa.
Energy, Emotion, and Community Spirit
With families, friends and even pets joining in on the walk, the atmosphere was loud and proud. Whether you walked, ran or even danced your way on the 5km or 10km loop, the air was filled with emotion, power and love. With live music, a warm-up session, prizes and supporting booths and stalls for attendees to explore, the Pink Ribbon Walk offered an engaging environment while raising awareness and funds for the BCFNZ.
As part of the partnership, Taylor Sport created a limited edition Pink Ribbon Hoodie. Being sold at the exclusive Taylor Sport stall. Designed to symbolise unity, strength, and hope. With every hoodie purchased twenty dollars was donated directly to the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, helping fund vital research, education, and support for those affected by breast cancer. The day was filled with energy and purpose as the Taylor Sport team walked alongside supporters, proudly wearing their Pink Ribbon Hoodies. It was more than just a walk; it was a movement and a reminder of what we can achieve together when sport and community unite for good.
Awareness Starts with Action
With Breast Cancer being the most common cancer in New Zealand women, the risk increases as women get older, making awareness, early detection, and continued support more important than ever. Breast cancer develops when abnormal breast cells grow and divide uncontrollably, sometimes spreading into the surrounding tissue. In some cases, the cancer progresses slowly, while in others it can develop much more rapidly. With one in nine women being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, it is crucial to understand what breast cancer is and what the signs and symptoms may look like for you or someone around you. It is as easy as T.L.C, Touch, Look, Check. It is encouraged to check your breast regularly, alongside booking your mammogram if you are over the age of 45.
With Taylor Sports limited-edition Pink Ribbon Hoodie and Crew being designed to be more than sportswear - by symbolising unity, strength and support. The soft pink hue and thoughtfully designed details represent hope and solidarity for women all around New Zealand affected by breast cancer. By turning everyday clothing into a statement of purpose, it celebrates purpose and the tangible difference in the fight against breast cancer.
